"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
